In the context of Gas Tec.’s policy to render the CNG fueling service accessible to the largest segment of public in the different governorates covered by natural gas network through providing service stations that fulfill the customers’ needs, the Company concluded a cooperation protocol with Cairo Governorate during October 2012 for providing 5 pieces of land in the different quarters of Cairo Governorate (East Nasr City – West Nasr City – Al Salam – Ain Shams – Helwan) for Gas Tec. to establish 5 stations for fueling and converting vehicles to run by CNG thereon, as a first phase that will be followed by allocating another number of pieces of land in upcoming phases, in the presence of the Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources, Minister of Local Development, and Cairo Governor.

It is to be noted that the selling capacity of these locations is estimated to reach 4.5 million m3 monthly, the matter that will lead to raising the Company’s sales of natural gas that will, in turn, help save about L.E 216 million annually for the state; such saving stands for the value of the subsidy paid for the volume of liquid fuel equivalent to these gas sales.
